PALMARES

Steve Perlinski, 37, was not born on two legs, but on two wheels. His father Bruno transmitted the virus to him, they started competing together in 2005.

-12 years old, his beginnings:

Steve will take his first spin on a 350 Ducati at the Lezennes circuit (59).

-14 years old, first races:

He later owed his taste for racing to this: mopeds. He will participate in the Continental Vario Championship.

-18 years and over:

Steve started several years of racing on official circuits.

It will start with city races in Belgium: Chimay, Gedine, Ostend...

He will participate 3 times in the Bol d'Or Classic with his father and once in the 4h of Spa in Belgium and in several races in France.

The results will quickly appear: 2nd in Chimay on his Norton and a victory at Le Mans, Victory in Side Car in Chimay....

-2012, his first Championship:

Steve will decide in 2012 to concentrate on a single championship to try to win it: the VMA Classic 750 Championship.

He finished Vice Champion of France (results detailed in the Results section)

-2013, French Champion:

He reattempted the VMA Classic 750 Championship and won it. (detailed results in the Results section)

-2014, the year of Side:

After a sensational entry into the Side Car championship in 2013, Steve decides that 2014 will be the year of the Side Car.

Steve having been a passenger for a friend several times, he now wants to drive and win with his 16-inch Triumph 810.

Charles Willot, his passenger, is also a regular in the discipline but the two have never ridden together... Learning to ride together on the Triumph begins at the end of 2013 and the results are there...

During the 2014 season, this crew will give a facelift to this discipline and spectators will see a great show. The most spectacular fight will take place at Magny Cours, between Steve/Charles and the Bossart N°23 crew (see video in the Gallery).

No doubt thanks to his experience in Solo, Steve's driving is radically different from that of his competitors: braking almost non-existent, sliding and overtaking in mouse holes are there...

The engine will remain very reliable throughout the year, which will allow them to stay in the lead during 3/4 of the Championship, despite a lack of engine horsepower compared to the competitors (the Side Triumph 810cc would race in the Classic category with the 10" BMW 1000cc. On circuits with big stretches like Magny Cours it was very difficult for Steve and Charles to stay in front).

Unfortunately during the last weekend at Vigeant (which counted double in points), the Side's clutch acted up from the first race...

Despite the pole position won in qualifying, Steve and Charles will be forced to retire after the start of the 2 races at the first turn (see video in the gallery).

They will lose the points lead they had in this last race and fall to 3rd place in the championship...

In 2014, he will compete in the Ancien Classic Side Car Championship with Charles Willot, his passenger.

They will finish 3rd in the Championship (results detailed in the Results section)

-2015, So British:

In 2015, Steve got back on his Norton to try his hand among the masters of driving: In England, by participating in the CRMC speed championship. His first year was a success! He finished on the 3rd step of the Podium in the championship! (detailed results in the Results section)

-2016, Champion of England:

With his very good results in 2015, Steve tried his luck again in 2016 at CRMC but this time as a Nourish “factory” driver! This time he finished on the first step and won the English championship (results detailed in the Results section)

-2017, French Champion:

Steve Perlinski decided to make a childhood dream come true in 2017...

In the 90s, Steve, aged 8 or 9, saw the CRB 900 Fireblade appear before his eyes as an astonished child but already a fan of speed.... THE war machine of the time, THE sports car that it was necessary to have! With its 120 horsepower, the CBR was the most powerful motorcycle on the road at the time and of course, it's the one Steve dreamed of having when he grew up...

Well since Steve is getting older, his dream is finally coming true! Because, that's it, the bike of his youth is racing in the Classic motorcycle championship! (Ouch, it stings)

Steve will therefore participate in the French VMA OPEN Evo championship in 2017 with a CBR 900 Fireblade from 1993. . And go win it!

Another French champion title in his pocket!

-2021, Vice-Champion of France:

Steve is making another championship with the CBR, resumed after Covid!

-2023, Double French Champion:

The year 2023 was the year of real recovery. Steve participates in the championship in 2 categories: Superbike with his CBR and Vintage with a Yamaha Seeley SR. He will be titled French champion in both categories!
